Terms of service.

Definitions

  • "Service" refers to laundry processing, dry cleaning, and related services provided by Alfred's Laundry Service Inc.

  •  "Customer" is the individual or entity using the service.

  • "Order" is a request for service placed by the customer.

Service Terms

  • Alfred's Laundry Service Inc. will provide our service in a professional and timely manner.

  • The customer must provide accurate information about the order, including fabric types and special care instructions.

  • Alfred's Laundry Service Inc. reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order.

Payment Terms

  •  Payment is due upon pickup or delivery of the order.

  • Accepted payment methods include the following: credit cards, cash, and checks.

  • A late fee of 1.5% per month may be applied to unpaid balances.

Liability

  • Alfred's Laundry Service Inc is not liable for damage or loss caused by:

    1. Pre-existing conditions or defects in the garments.

    2. Failure to follow care instructions.

    3. Acts of God or unforeseen circumstances.

  • Alfred's Laundry Service Inc.'s liability is limited to a maximum of ten times the cost of the service.

Reporting Lost or Damaged:

Items Missing or damaged items must be reported to ALFRED’S LAUNDRY SERVICE INC, within 24 hours of return of your laundered clothes. This report shall be submitted to SUPPORT@ALFREDSLAUNDRYSERVICE.COM and shall include all of the following information unless otherwise deemed not applicable: Order Number; 3. 4. Name of garment or item as set forth on the inventory sheet provided to the ALFRED’S LAUNDRY SERVICE INC Partner/Provider; 5. 6. Approximate age of the item; 7. 8. Brief description of the condition of the item prior to incurring damage (not applicable in the case of missing items); 9. 10. Brief description of the item’s condition and damage to the item after damage incurred (not applicable in the case of missing items); 11. 12. At least one photograph of the item showing the damage such item incurred; and 13. 14. Receipt of purchase of the item or, when such receipt is not reasonably available, other reasonable proof demonstrating the value of the item at the time it was purchased. Any report which fails to include the required information shall not be accepted by ALFRED’S LAUNDRY SERVICE INC, and accordingly remove any and all liability of ALFRED’S LAUNDRY SERVICE INC, and ALFRED’S LAUNDRY SERVICE INC, Provider/Partner for the missing or damaged item. Additionally, failure to report the missing or damaged item(s) within 24 hours shall remove any liability of ALFRED’S LAUNDRY SERVICE INC, for the missing or damaged item. ALFRED’S LAUNDRY SERVICE INC, shall use the report to determine, in its sole discretion, whether any refund or credit will be issued to the customer. ALFRED’S LAUNDRY SERVICE INC, shall respond to the customer with its decision no later than 5 business days thereafter ALFRED’S LAUNDRY SERVICE INC, receipt of such report. If, after investigating the report and claim of loss or damage,ALFRED;S LAUNDRY SERVICE INC, decides to issue a refund or credit, such refund or credit shall be issued for the value of the damaged or lost item as specified in the National Fair Claims Guide from the International Fabricare Institute (“IFI”). This guide takes into account the average life of the garment, depreciation for the age of the item, and the current replacement cost. If the customer is unable to document the age of a garment, ALFRED’S LAUNDRY SERVICE INC, reserves the right to limit the maximum age of any garment to one year. If no current replacement cost is available ALFRED’S LAUNDRY SERVICE INC, reserves the right to use the replacement cost of a comparable item currently available. ALFRED’S LAUNDRY SERVICE INC, and ALFRED’S LAUNDRY SERVICE INC, Providers/Partners are not liable for any pre-existing damage to a garment or other item and reserves the right to return any item without cleaning it if any pre-existing damage is found or if ALFRED’S LAUNDRY SERVICE INC, or the ALFRED’S LAUNDRY SERVICE INC, Provider/Partner has a concern about the color fastness or the age or weakness of the fabric of such item. All refunds/reimbursements offered by ALFRED’S LAUNDRY SERVICE INC, to the customer, must be claimed by the customer within a 30 Day period. Once the 30 day period has expired, the customer’s claim will be considered resolved and closed.

Warranty

  • Alfred's Laundry Service Inc. guarantees satisfaction with the service.

  • If the customer is not satisfied, Alfred's Laundry Service Inc. will re-process the Order at no additional cost.

Cancellation

  • The customer may cancel an order with at least 24 hour notice.

  • Cancellations with less than a 24 hour notice may incur a fee.

Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by New York State law.

  •  Any disputes will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with New York State law.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

  • Alfred's Laundry Service Inc. reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.

  • Changes will be effective upon posting on our website.

By using Alfred's Laundry Service Inc., the customer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
